Service objectives and quality assurance standards

Quality Assurance (QA) Standards are an important component of a quality management system. In order to ensure the safety and effectiveness of a national screening programme, QA standards should be clearly linked to programme objectives, measurable, evidence-based and provide comparable information over time and across local programmes.

The NHS Diabetic Eye Screening Programme QA standards and guidance documents can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
