Competence framework

The National Programme Team has worked with Skills for Health and all major stakeholders to develop occupational standards for retinopathy screening.

Final versions of these standards have been awarded National Occupational Standard status.  They can be used for training and will form the basis for accreditation of competence.

The National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Screening for Diabetic Retinopathy can be found on the Skills for Health website with the completed competency framework for Diabetes.

The award covers NOS HC1-6 and HC8-10.
